The Shabbat Bride is on her way, we must make preparations and with her comes her shining light of love, comfort, safety, and peace. Her Presence elevates our souls and smooths over wounds from the week. As the woman of the home lights the Shabbat candles, the glow of the flame reminds us HaShem is ever present within the soul, always with us. This parable of the Shabbat Bride and Presence of HaShem is reflected within the dynamic of man and woman.
A woman is the Shabbat Bride to her man, bringing comfort and smooths over his wounds he endures in the world daily. If only he would receive her light this would elevate his soul and bring down the barriers built up in order to endure the challenges of daily life. The man allowing the glow of his woman into his heart brings a closeness of HaShem to them both but when a man cannot receive the love of the woman given to him problems arise instead of blessings.
The woman's "soul is more corrected than a man's. All problems come from men rather than from women." Therefore, when there is a problem in the relationship the man should not first point fingers to his woman as the source of the problem but rather look within himself at how much love and support he provides to his woman. When the man is harsh with her he is breaking her down rather than lifting her up and he is taking away rather then providing. Hence, what happens is she cannot bring her light to the equation and they both fall together. However, when the man and woman each participate fully and fearlessly in the union, supporting each other according to their roles, they can achieve "full revelation of the Creator and the same attainment. The reason for this is that in the state of Full Correction, Zeir Anpin and Malchut are in the state of total union and they share the same light and the same attributes. They are unified together to the point of total dissolution in each other."
